Now that it is the end of May, let’s check in on how the Federal Register page count is faring so far this year against recent years. Here is today’s ending page number compared to the last few years of the last weekday in May:
- May 31, 2016: 34,857
- May 29, 2015: 30,917
- May 30, 2014: 31,204
- May 31, 2013: 32,978
Last month (April), the spread was much closer with just just under 2,000 pages separating the four years. Now it seems 2016 is pulling ahead of the pack with a spread among the four years of slightly under 4,000 pages and 2016’s closest rival being 2013 by a spread of 1,879 pages.
