New FDA initiative to inform teens about chewing tobacco and smokeless tobacco

Unleashing the Power of Prevention – Scientific Proof :

We all have heard that ‘prevention is better than cure’ and this adage is most true for children and youth. Now there is scientific backing of more than 30 years of research which confirms that investment in prevention is the best way to promote and prevent behavioral health problems among youth. Not only that, these researchers are willing to take a challenge to reduce the incidence and prevalence of behavioral health problems in this population(youth), by 20percent from current levels through widespread policies and programs that will serve millions and save billions.
