CALL FOR PAPERS!
PRAXIS, the student-published journal of the School of Social Work, is accepting manuscript submissions for publication. Theoretical, research, self-reflective and critical manuscripts will be considered. Any topic can be accepted, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Children and Families
- Criminal Justice
- Health
- Human Trafficking
- Immigration
- International Issues
- Public Policy
- Mental Health
- Substance Abuse
- Veteran Issues
Submission Guidelines
- Papers do not need to include original research – final papers submitted for class will be considered for publication.
- No more than twenty pages (including references).
- Submitted as a Microsoft Word document file (.doc or .docx).
- Double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font, one inch margins, and APA format.
- Make sure all identifying information, including contact information, appears only on the cover page.
- BSW, MSW, and PhD. students and alumni are invited to submit.
Submission Deadlines
Email your paper to Sam Foist Swart, sswart@luc.edu, Editor-in-Chief. Include “Praxis Submission” in the subject line of the email. Submissions are due by Friday, December 18th at Midnight.
About PRAXIS
Established in 2000 at Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work, PRAXIS is one of the few student-published social work journals in the country. PRAXIS publishes the work of the School of Social Work students and alumni, providing a forum where they can share their diverse viewpoints and learn from and be inspired by one another’s ideas.
