Get Answers on your Mobile Phone with Cha Cha

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

When you’re in need for a quick answer, whether you’re trying to settle a trivia bet or you’re in a pinch and you need to find a restaurant that’s open late, there are live-guides ready to assist you on your mobile phone – for free.  That’s right, the mobile answers service, Cha-Cha, uses human guides to answer your questions 24/7.  Simply call 1-800-2ChaCha or text your question to 242242; your question will be routed to a Guide who will return an answer to your phone via text message within a few minutes.

How it Works

According to the Cha-Cha website, you can ask anything; check out some examples of questions and answers sorted by category.

You don’t need an account to use Cha-Cha; however if you choose to create one and register your mobile phone, all of your questions and answers will be saved in your account.  To learn much more, read Cha Cha’s FAQ page

If you are interested in learning who invented the printing press, try calling Cha-Cha; you should learn that Johannes Gutenberg created his printing press in 1440.  However, to learn a bit more about the history of moveable type, you’ll need to find other resources and do some reading (Cha-Cha’s answers can only contain 160 characters).
