Several staff and faculty have received an email that appears to be From Fr. Regan who recently transitioned from Loyola University Chicago to Fordham University. Although the email appears legitmate, the email address is misspelled. Rather than the correct spelling “Jesuit” it is spelled “jesiut”. The email appears as below.
Although there is no malicious content in the email, the perpetrator may be attempting to assemble a list of active email addresses to send more malicious content at a later date.
