Dog Walker Phish

Posted on: August 3rd, 2018 by Jim Pardonek

Students, Faculty and Staff should be wary of an email that purportedly comes from a Loyola student looking for someone to walk her uncle’s dog for $300.00 a week. Although there is nothing malicious in the email, if you reply to the email address in the body of the email, they will contact you and attempt to get your banking information under the guise of setting up a means to pay you.  What is interesting about this email is that it says her uncle but later in the text it says to contact HER for more info.  As always, users should exercise diligence and a cautious eye when getting an unsolicited email especially when it looks too good to be true.
