Beer, Ale, and Bitters: Savoring the Difference

Sign up for Beer, Ale, and Bitters: Savoring the Difference, a non-credit course offered through Continuum on Tuesdays, November 12-19, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Located in the upstairs of the north-side Hopleaf, a well-known Andersonville tavern, this class is taught by Michael Roper, who lectures by weaving stories around the history of beer. It is as much a history class as it is a class on the making of beer.

Student reviews from previous classes attest to the popularity of the class:

  • “Michael has a true passion and enthusiasm about the beer industry. He is very knowledgeable and well versed in “all things beer.” His greatest gift as a lecturer was his ability to engage his students and to infect us all with his energy!”
  • “He is an excellent instructor-real find! Engaging and interesting.”
  • [The course] “opened my eyes to various beers, especially as beer relates to history”
  • ”was fun and educational.”

Savor this experience and enjoy every sip.
