CM/ECF Workshop on May 23

The Institute for Paralegal Studies is offering a FREE CM/ECF (Case Management / Electronic Case Files) workshop on Wednesday, May 23. CM/ECF is the web-based software used for filing litigation documents in the Northern District of Illinois federal court system.  This course will show you the best practices for managing your firm’s CM/ECF account and for filing your litigation documents. Learn how to file new complaints, answers, exhibits, motions, notices of motions and responses to motions.

Since the spring of 2010, Loyola University Chicago has been teaching CM/ECF in the Civil Litigation III course. If you have taken Civil Lit III during that time, this workshop will cover the same material and will be a good refresher for you. If you took Civil Lit III before 2010, or if you are in the Corporate / Real Estate concentrations and would like to broaden your skills to make yourself more marketable, this free seminar will be ideal for you.

This course is currently only open to Loyola paralegal graduates and current Loyola paralegal students. Students are expected to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products prior to taking this short course.

Spaces are limited, so be certain to send an email to paralegal@luc.edu to reserve your spot today!
