Leave Your Mark

Picture 10

On Friday, February 24, at 12 p.m., Jeremy Lynch wrote, “This here is Our time. Dream your world ALive,” on a cement wall outside of Sullivan Center. He said this quote was originally Chicago graffiti. “I’d pass the graffiti every day while riding the #6 bus on my way to school. I liked the fact that the word, ‘live’ is in ‘alive,’ and that the quote is taking ownership of the time,” he said. “About a year ago, the graffiti was painted over, though. This project gave me a chance to bring it back. It’s important to be reminded that you have the ability to turn your dreams into reality.” I took the picture at 2:54 p.m. not long after he wrote it, in case the weather might wash it away.
