Here at Loyola Dance Theatre, something that we pride ourselves on is using our art to instigate change in the world. We develop and use our own talents in order to find avenues for social equality and justice.
With a wide variety of intersectional interests among our dance majors, we decided to begin a continuous blog spotlight on the junction of dance and social justice. We will be interviewing current majors about their passions and how their involvement with them influence their roles as artists.
Check out our very first feature with Emma Carlisle, a junior dance major who is interested in combining dance and activism for disability rights!
