Corporate School “Reform” Policy and School Closings in Chicago: The Impact on Students, Communities and Teachers

CURL, the Center for Urban Research and Learning at Loyola is hosting a symposium titled “Corporate School ‘Reform’ Policy and School Closings in Chicago:  The Impact on Students, Communities and Teachers.”  The event will feature Diane Horwitz, Adjunct Faculty, Coordinator of Education Issues Forums, College of Education, DePaul University; Bill Kennedy, Foundations Year Coordinator, University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program; and Dwane Truss, Raise Your Hand Coalition and Vice-Chair, Austin Community Action Council.  It will take place Friday September 27th from 10:30 to noon in Room 417 of Cuneo Hall (Lakeshore Campus).  Additional information at http://luc.edu/curl/fridaymorningseminars/
