Loyola school psychology students and faculty presented at the Morton Freshman Center’s Annual Career Day on May 8th. The group presented 3 sessions to students wanting information about School Psychologists. They shared what personal traits match well to the career along with the training involved in reaching licensure. Special emphasis was placed upon the shortage of bilingual/bicultural school psychologists, especially those who speak Spanish. The student population at the Morton Freshman Center has a predominant percentage of students who come from homes where Spanish is the primary language spoken at home.
