In 2012, CITM returned to its roots at Boston College where the very first meeting was held in 1986. Twenty-four schools were represented by 117 attendees at this joint meeting of CITM and the Library Deans, plus two representatives from AUSJAL and three from AJCU including Fr. Greg Lucey, S.J., its president. The conference theme centered on the keynote address by David Weinberger about the effect of the Internet on ideas and the book discussion on Abelard to Apple by Richard DeMillo. Tracks included CIO, CITM, TTL, and Libraries, with special attention to the Working Groups on mentoring, benchmarking, shared services, distance learning, and web site and collaborative technologies. The conference dinner at Legal Sea Foods at Harborside harkened back to the very first conference dinner at Anthony’s Pier 4.
