A new phishing campaign exploiting an Adobe Flash Player zero-day vulnerability has been discovered. The company warned that the vulnerability is already being exploited in targeted attacks, and urged users to update the program as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

1. First navigate to http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/software\/flash\/about\/<\/a> to see your current version of Adobe flash player. Under \u201cVersion Information\u201d, you should the current version of Adobe Flash Player Installed on your machine.<\/p>\n

2. If the number in \u201cversion Information\u201d matches the number for your platforms \u201cPlayer version\u201d, you have the most current version of Adobe Flash Player. If not please follow the instructions below in order to update your Adobe Flash Player to the most current version.<\/p>\n

3. To update your Adobe Flash Player please navigate to https:\/\/get.adobe.com\/flashplayer\/<\/a>. Once there, \u201cuncheck\u201d the boxes under \u201cOptional offers\u201d and select install now.<\/p>\n

4. After clicking \u201cInstall now\u201d you will be prompted to save the file. Please select \u201cSave file\u201d and wait for the download to finish.<\/p>\n

5. NOTE: If you are using Internet Explorer the option to \u201cSave\u201d the file will appear on the toolbar at the bottom of the page<\/p>\n

6. After selecting \u201cSave\u201d please navigate to the \u201cDownloads\u201d folder by clicking the Windows start button \u00e0 Computer \u00e0 Downloads<\/p>\n

7. After selecting \u201cDownloads\u201d double click on red box labeled \u201cflash player\u201d<\/p>\n

8. A dialog box will then open. Please select \u201cRun\u201d or \u201cAllow\u201d to launch the installation.<\/p>\n

9. Another window should open showing the progress of the installation. After the installation as finished select \u201cFinish\u201d. The installation for Adobe Flash is now complete, and you should have the most current version.<\/p>\n

NOTE<\/strong>: Once installation is completed you may need to restart your browser for the changes to take effect.<\/p>\n
