The text below is from the most recent phishing email we have seen. Scams of this type attempt to trick users into depositing a fraudulent check, and often request some of that money before the fraud is detected by the user’s financial institution. This email (and anything similar) should be deleted right away. \nBe informed the Federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) in conjunction with the College Board has allocated funding to Colleges to provide support to students financially impacted by COVID-19.
\nThe grants are aimed at supporting college\/university students. The grants can be used toward the cost of education and other emergency costs that have arisen due to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), technology, books and supplies.<\/p>\n
