Phishing Scam – “COINBASE JOB OPENING”

The text below is from the most recent phishing email we have seen (subject: “COINBASE JOB OPENING”). Messages of this type attempt to trick users into communicating with an unusual email address using a personal account, at which point a variety of scams may be attempted. This email (and anything similar) should be deleted right away. If you have any questions about this or any email, please call or email the ITS Service Desk at 773-508-4487 or ITSServiceDesk@luc.edu before you act on the email or as soon as you become suspicious.

VOLUNTEER SURVEY POSITION

BITCOIN SURVEY:

COINBASE (A secure platform that makes it easy to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Ethereum)  seek INDIVIDUALS who can VISIT at least “one” BITCOIN ATM every week for survey.

$350 paid upon every task performed, with maximum of 3 tasks per week. No specific time is required as long as work is completed in a timely manner.
