How did I forget to register for graduation?

How did I forget to register for graduation?

I am excited to graduate, but I forgot to register for graduation.  The irony, like how does that even happen!?  This is what happened.  My biochemistry lab partner has a big family and since we only get 4 tickets per graduate she asked me if I had any extra tickets.  I am an only child, and I only need two or three tickets.  She would ask me every week, and I kept forgetting to ask my mom if we were going to use the extra ticker for anybody else.  I kept putting it off and telling her that I would find out later.

Later never came, guys!  It wasn’t until my best friend, Therese, asked me if I had registered for the tickets, yet.  I was like, wait – what!?  I am supposed to register?  I guess that annoying e-mail that kept coming up in my inbox was actually pretty important.  I do not know how this happened.  I do not know how I never questioned it.

So, here I am in biochemistry lab, last Thursday, answering the questionnaire and registering for my tickets.  I was late so all of my 4 tickets are in the 200 level, all the way to the back.  I was little upset at myself for not being more responsible and careful!  However, with everything that is going on, I figured that the 200 level tickets were okay.  I remember when we went to see Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and the set up was nice; I’m assuming that on Graduation Day, it will be the same.

This was crazy, though.  I really thought that I was not going to be able to get any tickets!  I am so glad, I did. This goes to show to not leave anything until the last minute. 😛

Senioritis is on point right now.

Senioritis

Senioritis

It’s my last year, but I’m lacking motivation.  Graduation is so close, yet so far away.

Senioritis is inevitable.  It happens to all of us; whether it is only on one assignment and/or an entire class, know that it exists.  Let’s be real, though…we are all nerds at heart.  This is why our senioritis doesn’t compare; it’s not a typical senioritis deal.

We may wait till the last minute to write a paper, read 3 chapters, or study for tomorrow’s exam, but we get it done.  I’ve met so many people who have mastered the arts of the senioritis’ symptoms.  They can wait until the last minute and do things efficiently.  Everyone always thinks that senioritis is something bad…it’s not.  It’s only bad if you let it take over.

Urban dictionary describes its symptoms as:

“…laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts… [t]he only known cure is a phenomenon known as Graduation.”

(This may, or may not be me right now)

This describes Loyola’s students to the T.  As long as you’re not the other half of the definition, “…the  lack of studying, repeated absences, and dismissive attitude…”, senioritis is only normal. *shrugs*

PS- If you were too lazy to read all of this blog post, you are a great candidate for senioritis.

THE IRONY. NO PUN INTENDED.

CLASS 2015: we….are….almost….there.

Senioritis

It’s finally happened.  I’ve officially diagnosed myself with a chronic case of senioritis.  Symptoms include: exhaustion, laziness, and general apathy.

The cure: Graduation.

Part of me is greatly saddened by this sudden onset of illness.  In all actuality, I love school!  I normally head to class with enthusiasm, and I don’t really mind homework or projects or anything that has to do with school work.

I’m really trying to pin down the root of the problem, and yet I cannot find the source.  What I do know is that I’m perpetually tired, which is leading me to forget things, then leading me to turn in some minor assignments late, leading me to feel bad about that, leading to me to the conclusion that there might really be a phenomenon known as senioritis.

My plan of action for now is to simply carry on as best I can.  I’ve already calculated that I only have 11 actual days of class left because I only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday.  In the grand scheme of things, that’s a ridiculously small number.  Senioritis or not, I can totally handle that!
