{"id":541,"date":"2021-02-05T23:09:34","date_gmt":"2021-02-05T23:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/?p=541"},"modified":"2021-02-05T23:09:34","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T23:09:34","slug":"home_top","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/home_top\/","title":{"rendered":"home_top section"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This page provides information on how to edit or update the content in the <strong>home_top<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"989\" height=\"901\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-05-at-4.27.28-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-05-at-4.27.28-PM.png 989w, https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-05-at-4.27.28-PM-300x273.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-05-at-4.27.28-PM-768x700.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-05-at-4.27.28-PM-296x270.png 296w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 989px) 100vw, 989px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Page Layout:<\/strong> Primary Layout<br><strong>Content Types allowed in this section:<\/strong> <em>Feature Link<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When using a <strong>Feature Link <\/strong>content piece on the <em>home_top<\/em> section, the following fields must be filled in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Name<\/strong> (this is the name of your content piece and does not display anywhere on the homepage)<br><\/li><li><strong>Title<\/strong> (this is the text that displays on the first line of the image overlay)<br><\/li><li><strong>Blurb<\/strong> (this is the text that displays on the second line of the image overlay)<br><\/li><li><strong>One of the following<\/strong> <strong>link options <\/strong>must be filled in (make sure to only fill in 1 of the 3 link options):<br><ul><li><strong>Section Link<\/strong> (use if you want to link the content to another page on your website)<ul><li>Use default link text (leave this box checked)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>External URL<\/strong> (use if you want to link to another web page outside of those that you can access via T4)<ul><li>must enter the full URL starting with &#8220;https:\/\/\u2026&#8221;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Media Link<\/strong> (use if you want to link to a media file that you&#8217;ve uploaded to the media library)<ul><li>for example, a PDF file or a Word document<br><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Select an Action Link<\/strong> (the selected text will display as a hot link next to your Blurb)<br><\/li><li><strong>Panoramic Image<\/strong> (this is the image that will display on the home_top section of your homepage)<ul><li>Always make sure that &#8220;<strong>image\/*<\/strong>&#8221; is selected in the formatter dropdown<\/li><li>Image dimensions should be: <ul><li>Width: 1800px<\/li><li>Height: 735px<\/li><li>Resolution: 72px\/in<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Recommended image formats: <strong>.jpg<\/strong> or <strong>.png<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Best Practice: <\/strong>Before uploading your image to the media library, please make sure to name the image file with the following guidelines:<ul><li>all lowercase, no spaces or special characters<\/li><li>a dash (-) or underscore (_) may be used to separate multiple words<\/li><li>sample filenames: <em>leadimage.jpg<\/em>, <em>lead_image.jpg<\/em>, or <em>lead-image.jpg<\/em><br><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Tab<\/strong> (This is the text that displays on the top left corner of the panoramic image)<br><\/li><li><strong>Publish Date<\/strong> (leave value as is)<br><\/li><li><strong>NOTE: <\/strong>All other fields can be left blank.
