When creating sections, the only required element is <strong>Name<\/strong>. The elements are all described below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/sectioninfo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-132 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/sectioninfo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"444\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/sectioninfo.jpg 405w, https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/sectioninfo-274x300.jpg 274w, https:\/\/blogs.luc.edu\/t4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/sectioninfo-246x270.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 405px) 100vw, 405px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Name:<\/strong> this is the name of your section and is typically also used directly in the menu navigation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> select <strong>Approved<\/strong>, <strong>Pending<\/strong> or <strong>Inactive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Approved sections<\/strong> will publish if they contain approved content.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pending sections<\/strong> will not publish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inactive sections<\/strong> are marked for deletion and can be permanently deleted by an administrator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Section options:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Check <strong>Mark as link section<\/strong>, if the web page is a link elsewhere;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Show in navigation<\/strong> is checked by default- <em>if unchecked<\/em>, the section will not appear in navigation and will be displayed in the site structure with a clear folder icon;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Archive section<\/strong>&#8212; if content is no longer updated, a section can be set as an archive. This will save publish time, as the section will not be reviewed each time a publish is run.<\/li>\n<li><strong>eForm section<\/strong>: check this box if eForms are going to submit to this section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Content owner:<\/strong> select the user who &#8220;owns&#8221; the section. Content in the section will inherit this ownership, unless a different owner is specified for the content.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Output URI:<\/strong> lets you specify the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) as the destination of the new section. If this field is left blank, the section\u2019s name is used when publishing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Output file name:<\/strong> enables you to specify a file name. If left blank, the default file name set in the channel is used. This can be used in conjunction with the Output URI in three possible ways (parent = section parent folder, currentsectionname = current section name, outputuri = current section output uri, filename.html= the new file name in the current section):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>and Output File Name results in a published page as follows: <em>parent\/outputuri\/filename.shtml<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Output File Name results in a published page as follows: <em>parent\/filename.shtml<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Output File Name but with a name which is the same as the channel index name (in this case <em>filename.shtml<\/em>) results in the following: <em>parent\/currentsectionname\/filename.shtml.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>SEO key phrases:<\/strong> Enter comma separated key phrases and\/or words. Make sure these match the content!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Default Workflow:<\/strong> select the workflow you wish to use for all content added to this section\/branch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Access key:<\/strong> lets you enter a single character, which may be used as a shortcut within a navigation menu.
