Dr. Keith Green<\/a> has been working with the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) to re-establish the city’s Crystal Meth Task Force. The Task Force was originally created when white gay\/bisexual men represented the primary population of crystal meth users. Now, the user population is made up largely of black gay\/bisexual men. Dr. Green’s grant is designed to help understand: 1) the scope of the problem; 2) motivations for use; and 3) available treatment resources. The data will be used to develop a \u201cservice provider\u2019s toolkit\u201d for working with black gay\/bisexual men who use and abuse crystal meth and a white paper. The CDPH has also (unofficially) agreed to support a social marketing campaign based on the data from this project.
