Applications for the 3rd year cohort are now open!
Drs. John Orwat and Michael Dentato are in the midst of completing the third year of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) funded SBIRT@LUC Training Program. A great component of this initiative is an advanced interprofessional certificate known as the CABISAM program, in which social work students collaborate with students from the schools of nursing and medicine.
What is SBIRT?
Short for Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment model and motivational interviewing techniques through classroom and community-based settings across Chicago.
