Welcome
I am a Professor of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago. I received my B.A. from the University of Georgia in 2001, and my M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2005 and 2008. My research and teaching interests are in the areas of international relations and foreign policy decision-making, with emphasis on international conflict and conflict management. My current research focuses on third party interventions in ongoing international conflicts, the role of the private sector in conflict prevention, and UN peacekeeping. I regularly teach classes on international conflict processes, business and world politics, and conflict management, as well as the introductory International Relations course. I run short study abroad courses to Colombia and Northern Ireland to teach students about civil war and peace building.
