Why did you decide to attend Loyola’s Weekend JD program?
The weekend option is invaluable. The ability to wake up refreshed with a full tank of energy on the weekends has been great.

What do you like best about the program?
The program is a hybrid of online learning and in-class instruction. I enjoy the flexibility of learning at my own pace, along with hard deadlines to ensure that I am staying on schedule.  I’m also enjoying the energy of the classroom setting. The weekend JD is composed of students from an array of backgrounds—most of the student are working professionals. It’s been interesting to hear my classmates’ backgrounds and how they manage the program with their busy lives.

What do you plan to do with your law degree?
I was initially interested in studying patent law, however, I am keeping an open mind to other areas.

What advice can you give prospective students interested in applying to Loyola’s Weekend JD program?
Talk to students in the program and apply early. Master time management and reconcile that your current social life will dramatically change. Your classmates will become your new best friends. Your reality of fun will transform, too. Fun will become how every accident or possible accident is a potential claim for a tort.

I love to cook and host dinner parties. Planning out my personal life at the beginning of the semester has helped me continue doing some of the things I love.
