Lucy Jaffar is a senior dance and psychology double major from San Fransisco, California. Lucy Joined DHS because she loves the sense of community it opens up for student at Loyola. Lucy started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are Jazz and Latin dance. A fun fact about Lucy is that she loves cuddling her boxer dogs and knitting!
Anna Goetz is a Senior dance and environmental science double major from Wheaton, Illinois. Anna chose to be a part of DHS for the community and the extra master classes that are offered. Anna started dancing when she was 7 years old and her favorite styles are experimental street and contemporary dancing. A fun fact about Anna is that she loves plant identification!
Megan Trongale is a senior dance and communications double major from San Diego, California. Megan chose to be a part of DHS because she really loved being part of an organization that focuses on fostering community while supporting academics and the arts. Megan started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles uncle ballet, contemporary, modern, improv/ecstatic dance and flamenco. A fun fact about Megan is that she is a certified Yoga Alliance instructor and a Certified Clinical Master Herbalist!
Arielle McKeever is a junior dance and marketing double major from New York, New York. Arielle chose to be a part of DHS because she wanted to be a part of something that addressed social justice through dance and DHS was the perfect organization to do so. Arielle started dancing around age 6 but wasn’t serious until she was 12 years old and her favorite styles are modern. ballet and jazz dance. A fun fact about Arielle is that her favorite book is “The Handmaid’s Tail” by Margaret Atwood!
Hannah Hinerman is a junior dance and psychology double major from Denver, Colorado. One of the biggest factors that drew her to DHS was our mission to use dance as social justice. Hannah started dancing when she was three years old and her favorite styles are ballet and modern dance. A fun fact about Hannah is that one of her favorite tv shows is a Turkish soap opera called Çalıkuşu, which is based on the Turkish novel “The Wren” by Reşat Nuri Güntekin.
Sophia Seger-Pera is a junior dance and anthropology double major from Omaha, Nebraska. She chose to join DHS because it is a good way to connect to the Loyola dance community and connect dance and activism. Sophia started dancing when she was 3 and her favorite styles are ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. A fun fact about Sophia is that her favorite book is “Some Boys” by Patty Blount!
Merritt Stults is a junior dance and political science double major from Fishers, Indiana. Merritt chose to be a part of DHS because she resonated with the service aspect as it gave her an opportunity to volunteer through a dance related channel. Merritt started dancing when she was 10 and her favorite styles are ballet and jazz dance! A fun fact about Merritt is that she really enjoys cooking and watching old films!
Emily Carroccio is a junior dance and biology double major from outside of Cleveland, Ohio. She chose to be a part of DHS because it gave her another opportunity to connect to the Loyola dance community. Emily started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are modern ad contemporary dance. A fun fact about Emily is that she loves rock climbing, rock concerts and Rocky Horror!
Naomi Alvarado is a junior dance major and marketing minor from Chicago, Illinois. Naomi chose to be a part of DHS again this year because she feels now more than ever it’s important for her to stay connected with her friends and even get to know new people like the freshman. Naomi started dancing when she was around 10 years old and her favorite styles include hip hop, contemporary and salsa! A fun fact about Naomi is that she loves stuff life Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, comics, Doctor Who, Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch series)!
Callie Navarete is a junior psychology major and dance minor from Carol Stream, Illinois. Callie chose to be a part of DHS because she wanted to get more involved with the Loyola dance community. Callie started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are jazz and hip hop dance. A fun fact about Callie is that she loves the weather!
Louise Morton is a junior anthropology major and dance minor on the pre-med track from Seattle, Washington. Louise chose to be a part of DHS because she believes DHS allows our cohort to do more beyond the classroom and collaborate to bring interesting events and activities to the year and she also appreciates the platform to be able to participate in service that is relevant and related to our interests. Louise started dancing at age 2 and her favorite styles are ballet and jazz. A fun fact about Louise is that she can listen to the Harry Potter movie scores and is able to identify the exact scene and movie that a track belongs to!
Alysha Grancorvitz is a junior dance major and theatre minor from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alysha chose to be a part of DHS because she loves any chance to spend more time with the Loyola dancers but also really enjoyed how much DHS has to offer with getting involved with the community. Alysha started dancing when she was three and her favorite styles are jazz modern and musical theatre dance. A fun fact about Alysha is that she is a huge fan of all types of music and believes that music plays a large part in the way she approaches dancing.
Caitlin Dyer is sophomore dance and accounting double major from Hudson, Ohio. Caitlin chose to be a part of DHS because she loves being able to find community amongst dancers outside of class and DHS provides a platform for service and community that she loves! Caitlin started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are contemporary, modern and tap. A fun fact about Caitlin is that she loves fishing, hiking and playing with her dogs!
Miller Tennant is a sophomore dance and exercise science double major on the pre-PT track from Nashville, Tennessee. What she loves about DHS is the true devotion to social justice through our efforts as artists, using our artistic and creative minds, DHS commits itself to working for the community and building safe spaces for the community members. She especially love DHS’s work with Sarah’s Circle. Miller started dancing when she was really young and her favorite styles are jazz, contemporary and tap but really enjoys watching ballet. A fun fact about Miller is that she has visited all 50 States in America, her family was very determined to travel and see the US. She says that she is so lucky to have such wonderful parents who gave her the opportunity to travel to such amazing places. (PS Yellowstone is her favorite National Park)!
Nina Jackson is a sophomore dance and biology double major from Nashville, Tennessee. Nina chose to join DHS because she loves being able to incorporate her love for dance and her love for service. Nina started dancing when she was 7 years old and her favorite styles are contemporary and hip hop. A fun fact about Nina is that she can count 43 digits of pi!
Annie LeDuc is a sophomore dance and advertising & public relations double major from Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Annie loves being a part of DHS because DHS it allows us to be more than dancers in class, it is a wonderful group of people who are inspired to get involved with the community. Annie started dancing when she was 5 years old and her favorite styles are jazz and contemporary dance. A fun fact about Annie is that her senior prom look was inspired by Michelle Obama at the 2015 State Dinner!
Sydney Osborne is a sophomore dance and visual communication double major from St. Louis, Missouri. Sydney chose to be a part of DHS because she loves the emphasis on social justice! Sydney started dancing when she was 4 years old and her favorite styles are ballet and pointe dance. A fun fact about Sydney is that she loves painting and drawing!
Ashley Homolka is a sophomore psychology major and dance minor from Elmhurst, Illinois. She chose to be a part of DHS because she loves how it combines dance and service with the community. Ashley started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are contemporary and ballet dance. A fun fact about Ashley is that she is in Phi Sigma Sigma and is in the Loyola Choir.
Emily Heier is a sophomore dance and business double major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Emily chose to be a part of DHS because she loves to dance and wants to use her passion for social advocacy and justice. Also the service aspect is really important to her and is a fun way to make a difference in the community. Emily started dancing when she was 4 years old and her favorite styles are tap and jazz dance. A fun fact about Emily is she absolutely loves pickles!
Eliza Wszolek is a sophomore forensic science major and dance and polish studies minor from Chicago, Illinois. Eliza chose to be a part of DHS because she wanted to continue to have a dance community where she could explore various genres and try everything out. Eliza started dancing when she was 2 years old and her favorite styles are Polish folk, ballet and jazz dance. A fun fact about Eliza is that Pre-COVID she started to attend classes for aerial arts, specifically Lyra hoop and trapeze!
Natalie Stegman is a sophomore dance and bioinformatics double major from Cincinnati, Ohio. Natalie chose to be a part of DHS to feel connected to the Loyola dance community and to fight for social justice through dance. Natalie started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite style of dance is ballet. A fun fact about Natalie is that she loves making slime!
Gretchen Plinke is a sophomore dance and anthropology double major from Columbus, Ohio. Gretchen chose to be a part of DHS because she wanted to serve the greater community and make an impact through the great group of Loyola dancers. Gretchen started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are ballet and modern dance. A fun fact about Gretchen is that her favorite dance related movie is Dirty Dancing!
Olivia Bran is a sophomore dance major on the pre-PT track from Memphis, Tennessee. Olivis chose to be a part of DHS because she loves the values and wanted to be a part of the Loyola dance community. Olivia started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are ballet and flamenco dance. A fun fact about Olivia is that she enjoys listening to music and playing animal crossing.
Megan Clifford is a freshman dance and pre Pharmaceuticals double major from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Megan chose to be a part of DHS because she really wanted to help out in the dance community. Megan started dancing when she was 5 years old and her favorite styles are ballet and modern dance. A fun fact about Megan is that she has performed in the Nutcracker for 10 consecutive years!
Emily Price is a freshman dace and biology double major from Chicago, Illinois. Emily chose to be a part of DHS because she enjoys how we use dance as an act of service with community issues. Emily started dancing when she was 3 years old and her favorite styles are ballet, contemporary and jazz dance. A fun fact about Emily is that she is a huge daredevil, she loves rollercoasters, zip lining and cliff jumping!
Karla Suazo is a freshman dance and molecular biology double major from Indianapolis, Indiana. Karla chose to be part of DHS because of the values of social justice and also the engagement in the community that’s not only just about dance but other issue surrounding everyone and everything. Karla started dancing when she was 2 years old and her favorite styles are tap and contemporary dance. A fun fact about Karla is that she is a big fan of anime and anything magical. She also enjoys Skateboarding!
