A focus on African issues of social justice explored areas such as the effects of HIV\/AIDS on community life in East Africa and the need for empowerment of disadvantaged groups and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Catholic University of Eastern Africa\u2019s Center for Social Justice and Ethics\u00a0served as the group&#8217;s\u00a0academic and residential base. The group also\u00a0visited urban Nairobi and in rural Naivasha,\u00a0in addition to\u00a0observing the\u00a0wildlife at Lake Nakuru National Park.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Brittany Barton, MASJ alumna, created a powerful video documenting her experience on the trip.
