Jordan Spieth: A Master in the Golf World

Michael Scott provides his take on an exciting green jacket win:

Over the weekend Jordan Spieth won the 2015 Masters, an achievement he will never forget. Spieth scored a four round score of 270, tying Tiger Woods for the lowest score in Masters history.

While the aging Tiger Woods has been struggling to stay healthy, Spieth and Rory Mcllroy are golf’s rising stars, combining for three of the last five Major Championships. Many fans are fantasizing about the rivalry that could become of Mcllroy, ranked number 1 in the world, and Spieth, ranked number 2 in the world. After his victory, Spieth stated “He’s got four majors. That’s something I can still only dream about. I don’t know, as far as a rivalry right now.” This was Spieth’s response when asked about a possible rivalry between the two talents.

This unforgettable victory presents Spieth with his first Major victory, trailing Mcllroy by three majors. Sports fans look forward to the most heated rivals such as Magic Johnson and Larry bird, Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. One day we may put Spieth and Mccllory in the same category as many of these great superstars.
