Trip to Tivoli<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0It has been a full, crazy\u00a0week since first arriving at the John Felice Rome Center.\u00a0\u00a0This first week of orientation\u00a0 has been one amazing\u00a0event after another.\u00a0 The JFRC has also been a very good guide\u00a0 in the adjustment of a completely different culture.\u00a0 We have had many informational meetings and workshops as well to help us along the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This past weekend all of the students took a day trip to the Colleseum on Saturday and then to Tivoli on Sunday.\u00a0 It was a perfect way to start out our stay here in Rome.\u00a0 The Colleseum was much bigger and grander than I had anticipated!\u00a0 By actually setting foot on such a well-known site, the rich and extensive history becomes much more real.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At Tivoli, we toured a palacial estate called Villa D’este.\u00a0 It was an unbelievable view sitting on top of the mountainside.\u00a0 The estate itself housed over 50 beautiful fountains that were controlled\u00a0 mainly by gravity.\u00a0 I definitely was able to get some really awesome photos here.\u00a0 We then continued on to lunch in a nearby restaurant.\u00a0 It was a delicious and\u00a0very large meal.\u00a0 Italians definitely do not let you leave hungry!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
