This week went much smoother. I no longer have a fever and I\u2019ve got a better grasp on how to do my job. I enjoy being in the office. Weekends I\u2019ve decided to prep photos for the week. It\u2019s vital for me to prep my Wednesday Instagram post ahead of time because my posts are meant to go out at 6:00pm every. Since I tutor 5:30pm to 6:30pm I found myself rushing to create a post after homework and in between tutoring this week. The post was subpar, but I\u2019m working on it.<\/p>\n

Monday, \"\"Wednesday, and Friday If I\u2019m out getting a cappuccino, at a market, or even passing a restau
\nrant, I need to take pictures of what I see and document where I saw it. Mondays and Thursdays are days where while I\u2019m in the office I create. This could be anything from putting quotes on pictures I\u2019ve taken over the weekend, to creating posts to schedule into MeetEdgar. These days are a little tricky because the shifts are so short. Monday I\u2019m in the office for three hours while Thursday I work two. Friday shifts are five hours, so I have plenty of time to research marketing tactics to try to gain a bigger following. For social media, it\u2019s really important to constantly be following people to get the company\u2019s name out there.<\/p>\n

To make more time in the office for other tasks, I\u2019ve decided to check social media throughout my day. For instance, if I\u2019m eating lunch at Mensa I could also be following people, liking photos, commenting on posts, or brainstorming post ideas. It\u2019s tough but I can do it. Saturdays need to be spent studying or I\u2019ll never pass. I think I\u2019ve got a better feel for my schedules as time goes along. In retrospect, I\u2019m happy I didn\u2019t schedule weekend trips every weekend like the rest of the JFRC students. I don\u2019t know how I\u2019d be able to manage constant travel and my responsibilities in Rome. Things are looking up! Only two more weeks until Spring Break and I’m ready. I’ve already got flights booked to London, then I’m taking the train to Paris. While<\/p>\n

in Paris I’m taking photos for The Romans Guy’s other branch, The Paris Guy. This week I was given the responsibility of growing followers in The Paris Guy’s instagram as in addition to my other responsibilities. I think the photo aspect with be fun and I’m super excited to get creative with it.<\/p>\n

During my time posting for The Roman Foodie, I’ve grown to appreciate how much time goes into marketing for food. It could be the best food on the planet, but if it doesn’t look good, no one wants to try it. The key to being good at marketing is to make everything look as good as possible.
