On September 8, 2012, our beloved Sr. Jean celebrated the 75th anniversary of her entrance into the Sisters of Charity, BVM. A member of the Loyola University Chicago community since 1961, Sr. Jean has inspired, ministered to, rooted for and loved our students and our University family tirelessly. What she lacks in vertical stature, she more than makes up for in her passion for and commitment to Loyola and the students we serve.
In addition to this site, the University is also hosting two receptions on Sunday, September 16 in Sr. Jean’s honor. Both receptions will occur on the Lake Shore Campus, in McCormick Lounge, with the first being held after the 10:30 a.m. Mass and the second occurring at 8 p.m., prior to the start of the 9 p.m. Mass.
On the Water Tower Campus, a special congratulatory banner will be hung outside Sr. Jean’s office, which is located in room 107 of the Corboy Law Center. Those that can’t make the September 16 receptions are encouraged to stop by her office to offer congratulations.
