DIVERSITY COUNCIL

THE EMPOWERMENT PIPELINE
The Empowerment Pipeline is a student created and student run program designed to interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline by empowering high school youth to direct their own paths towards higher education and improving their social mobility.Contact diversity@luc.edu for more information.

LUCES
LUCES provides a safe space for the multigenerational community of self-identified Women of Color at LUC. Reaffirming the power of global sisterhood, LUCES Sisters aim to grow and transform through increased self and social awareness, and action toward solidarity and social justice. MEN’S PROJECT
The Men’s Project is a leadership initiative on campus that focuses on exploring masculinity and what it means (and should mean) to “be a man.” This 10-week program is a great way to learn more about masculinity, the role of gender in society, and how both are related to violence in the community. SAFE SPACE TRAINING PROGRAM
Safe Space is a program that strives to provide a more hospital environment for LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex) people by establishing an identifiable network of people who can provide support, information, and a safe haven to an LGBTQI person within the University community.
