WLUW-FM is nominated by the Chicago Music Awards

Loyola University’s student-run radio station, 88.7 WLUW-FM Chicago Sound Alliance, has been nominated for “Most Popular College/Public Radio Station” for the 29th Annual Chicago Music Awards.
According to the CMA website, nominees are selected by a panel of judges comprised of entertainment industry professionals in each of the music and performance categories.
WLUW has been nominated alongside Northwestern’s WNUR, College of DuPage’s WDCB, University of Chicago’s WHPK, and UIC’s internet radio station.
The public chooses the winner via online poll at chicagomusicawards.org. Voting concludes on December 31st, 2009.
The winner will be announced on January 24th, 2010, in a ceremony at Alhambra Palace. This year other award nominees include Kanye West and Wilco for “Pop Entertainer of the Year” and Smashing Pumpkins for “Best Rock Entertainer.”
