Join us March 5th for the next Career Development Workshop

Ah, break week.  It’s so close.  After the stress of finals, who doesn’t want to just stay home and enjoy a quiet week of not coming downtown before Spring II starts.

Well I hope I can convince you to come back downtown on Wednesday, March 5th for the latest career development workshop co-hosted by SCPS and Loyola’s Career Development Center.  Lead by SCPS’ CDC liaison Brigette Petersen, we’ll be going over tips on how to craft a captivating elevator pitch, and set aside some workshop time to actually put those tips into practice.  And like always, refreshments will be provided.

“What’s an elevator pitch?” you might be asking.  An elevator pitch is a quick way for you to present your background and interests in a unique way to leverage the facetime you get while networking, at career fairs, or as the first question in just about any interview scenario.  It’s an important skill to have, and we’ll help you sharpen your or put one together for the first time.

Things kick off at 5:30 PM in Regents Hall on Lewis Towers’ 16th floor, and go until 7 PM.  If you’d like to attend, just let me know via email at jjoslin@luc.edu.  Good luck during finals, and I hope to see you on the 5th!
