Online Orientation Thursday, January 2

If you are enrolled in an online course for the Spring, considering taking an online course this year, or would simply like to learn more about online learning at SCPS, please join us for a virtual online workshop on

          5:30 -6:30 p.m. Central time

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Plans for SCPS programs and current online classes
  • What to expect in online classes
  • How to prepare for online classes
  • Effective communication
  • Support for students
  • Resources for online learning
  • Features of a Sakai course
  • Q & A

The workshop will be held through Adobe Connect. Please log in to the workshop with the following link: https://connect.luc.edu/onlinelearning-workshop/

The url will take you to the login page for the meeting, where you should enter as a guest and provide your first and last name.

To attend the meeting you will need a broadband internet connection, a web browser, and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 or greater. Wired internet connection is recommended; a microphone (either through a headset or a laptop) is optional.
