Paralegal Alumni Network Hosts Annual Educational Event
Loyola’s Paralegal Alumni Network (PAN) hosted their annual educational event on Friday, March 2, 2012. Over seventy paralegal graduates and their guests registered for the event which featured a presentation by Matthew Bird, the Senior Research Librarian at the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath. After a reception and networking event at the beginning of the evening, the attendees retired into the Power Rogers & Smith Ceremonial Courtroom in the Corboy Law Center for Mr. Bird’s presentation on “Legal Professionals, the Internet and Social Media.”
In addition to their annual educational event, PAN also strives to have at least one social and one service event a year. Their next event will be a Hornbook Book Club meeting on March 13 followed by PAN’s service event on April 14. This year’s service event takes place on the Jesuit Alumni Day of Service.
Thanks to our friends on Loyola’s Alumni Relations team, PAN has a Dedicated Group Site at St. Leonard’s Ministries in Chicago. At St. Leonard’s, PAN volunteers will be assisting the residents with their Spring Cleaning projects. Please join us if you can.
