This week, laboratory professionals across the country celebrate National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week. While not as well know as some other week long celebrations, the individuals that are behind the scenes in the hospital laboratory are some of the most interesting people around.
We provide the important diagnostic results that make healthcare what it is today. I know what you are thinking, doctors and nurses drive healthcare, that’s because everyone sees a doctor or nurse when you come to the hospital. They interact with patients, they make the clinical diagnosis. After all, they are the ‘stars’ of all those medical dramas on tv.
