Ask Ronald

How can I best utilize my academic advisor?

Among the many resources available to our students, your academic advisor is probably your “greatest” one (it’s a poor dog that doesn’t wag his own tail). I am a firm believer that the most successful student frequently utilizes his academic advisor.

Your advisor can assist you with a myriad of things. Such as, helping to access academic information, helping you to understand how your transfer and Loyola credit has been applied, provide contact information for other university offices, offering suggestions for resolving problems that affect your academic performance, understanding university policies and procedures, and if you hang in there, together, we will track your progress towards graduation. Need more? Offer up a suggestion. The Ask Ronald column is here for you to ask any academic advising questions and help you navigate your time here at Loyola.

You should know that, my success is directly linked to your success.
