I was excited to go back and visit the family for the second week. We weren’t sure what we were going to do with the family though. The weather was cold and kinda snowy so we couldn’t really do anything outdoors. We brought toys to the kids and figured we would play with them for a while and hopefully figure somewhere to go next week. We brought Rhonda a doll and Remel, the little boy, some hot wheels cars. We also brought some crayons and coloring books as well. The kids’ faces lit up when they saw the toys. Rhonda was carrying her doll around like it was her baby and Remel did not even want to take the cars out of the package for the first hour or so he just kept looking at them. He finally took them out of the package and started to play with them. The kids were not very fond of sharing their toys, Remel wouldn’t let Rhonda come near his toys. They also preceded to hit each other with the toy packaging which we all couldn’t help but laugh at, while at the same time trying to tell them no. We asked the parents if they would be interested in getting a library card, but they said they didn’t want one at this time. They want us to show them around sometime so Thayer and I are trying to think of places we could take them that they would all enjoy. I am getting a little stressed trying to think of places for us to go that involves little money and is not too far away. The museums are all pretty far away on public transportation and take multiple transfers to get there. I’m sure we will think of something after a little research in the area…
