Loyola University Chicago Ranks in Top 10 Percent of America’s Best Universities
U.S. News & World Report Ranks Loyola at 89 on Best Universities List
Chicago, September 10, 2018—Loyola University Chicago today announced it has earned the rank of 89 in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of best colleges. This is the second time the University has broken the top 100 since 2015 when it was ranked 99. In total, U.S. News collected data on more than 1,800 independent, regionally accredited institutions. While data for all schools appear on usnews.com, just shy of 1,400 schools were ranked.
The University also received high rankings for criteria used to help students choose the right education for their needs ranking 60th for best value and 79th for best undergrad business programs.
“We are pleased by the recognition for the substantial movement up in the U.S. News ranking,” said Loyola President Jo Ann Rooney. “I am especially pleased by our high ‘best value’ ranking. It is a testament to the talents of our students and the work of our faculty to develop innovative high-quality programs while keeping Loyola affordable and accessible for capable students from all backgrounds.”
U.S. News provides the data used in the rankings, which includes user reviews of schools plus key characteristics on applying, academics, cost, student life, safety, services, post-graduate employment and salary outcomes.
