2018 Farmers Market Season Opens
at Loyola University Chicago
Season Eight Begins on Monday, June 4
The Loyola University Chicago Farmers Market returns for its eighth season on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Loyola Plaza in Rogers Park. Located outside the CTA’s Red Line Loyola ‘L’ station, the market will feature local vendors, educational programming, and on-site entertainment. The market will run through October 15.
Sponsored by Loyola’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability and the Department of Community Relations, the market is free and open to the public. To increase access to fresh and locally grown food, the market accepts Link cards, Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons, and Women, Infants, and Children Program coupons. Illinois Link cardholders who spend up to $20 will also receive up to an additional $20 on fresh fruits and vegetables per market day, per card.
Support for Link cards is provided by Experimental Station’s LINK Up Illinois, a program providing grants to Illinois farmers markets to support access for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program participants.
For more information about the market, including a full list of vendors, visit LUC.edu/farmersmarket.
Mondays, 4–8 p.m.
The market will be closed on July 2 and September 3.
