Loyola University Chicago’s Center for the Human Rights of Children Presents Photography Exhibition, Panel on Child Soldiers

What:
Loyola’s Center for the Human Rights of Children will host Child Soldiers: Forced to Be Cruel, an art exhibition that captures imagery of child soldiers from around the world. The photography comes from PROOF, an organization that utilizes visual storytelling to bring light to human rights issues. The exhibition will be on display from Thursday, October 8 through Saturday, October 31.

The opening reception will include a panel presentation and Q&A session featuring local and national experts who will discuss the trafficking of children as soldiers and draw comparisons to children who are recruited by gangs and forced criminality in the both the US and Central America contexts. The evening will conclude with a cocktail reception.
