Mokaram Rauf, brother of Loyola student Mutahir Rauf, who was recently shot and killed, will speak to media on behalf of the family on Tuesday, December 9 at 9 a.m., in the Mundelein Center on Loyola University Chicago’s Lake Shore Campus.
Please note the following:
- Media should arrive no earlier than 8:20 a.m. The room will be open at 8:30 for set up and Mokaram will speak starting at 9 a.m. sharp.
- Audio equipment (mult box, mics, etc.) will NOT be available. A podium will be available for you to place microphones and recording devices.
- The memorial service itself, which starts at 10 a.m., is open to the public, but NO media-related photography, video, or recording devices will be allowed into the service.Additional details of the service are available here.
- We will have an area for you to station your cameras, videographers, and reporters outside the building during the memorial service. Click here for a campus map.

Also, this Wednesday, December 10 the University will host an Interfaith Prayer for Non-Violence program at 3 p.m. in the Mundelein Auditorium.
