Donate Left-over Oil Waste from Your Thanksgiving Meal To Make Into Biodiesel Gas!
Loyola University Chicago’s Biodiesel Program Arranges Drop-Off Event

What:
The Biodiesel Program at Loyola University Chicago’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability (IES) is hosting its annual “Cooking Oil Collection” effort. If you deep fried your turkey, or have containers of used cooking oil in your kitchen, bring it in! Students will turn your old oil into biodiesel, a renewable replacement of petroleum diesel fuel.

Loyola’s student-run enterprise is the first and only school operation licensed to sell biodiesel in the US, and is a certified green business with the Illinois Green Business Association.

When:
Monday, December 2 – Wednesday December 4, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Where:
Loyola University Chicago
Institute of Environmental Sustainability
Clean Energy Lab, 6349 N. Kenmore (Lobby)

Why:
The fuel helps power the shuttle buses running between Loyola’s Lake Shore and Water Tower Campuses. For more information about the IES, please visit LUC.edu/sustainability.
