The Homicide Research Working Group Celebrates 20 Years at Loyola University Chicago

The Homicide Research Working Group (HRWG) will hold its 20th annual meeting at Loyola University Chicago’s Water Tower Campus starting this Wednesday, June 6. The HRWH is an organization that convenes academic, criminal justice, and medical professionals who are interested in the reduction of lethal violence.

The three-day meeting, titled “Celebrating 20 Years of HRWG: Preventing Lethal Violence Neighborhood by Neighborhood,” invites homicide researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to share their research questions, ideas, and new findings.

Franklin Zimring, law professor at University of California-Berkeley, is one of the featured keynote speakers, in addition to a presentation by members of Chicago Ceasefire, and much more. For more information on this event, and to register, please contact Dr. Richard Block at 773.680 6550 or 773.743.729, or visit http://homicideworkinggroup.cos.ucf.edu/.
