What:
The Loyola University Chicago community is pleased to welcome Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to campus on Wednesday to deliver the lecture, “Green Gold Rush: A Vision for Energy Independence, Jobs, and National Wealth.” Following the lecture, Kennedy will sign copies of his books in the University’s Mundelein Auditorium.

A renowned lawyer, author, activist, and film maker, Kennedy will deliver a passionate defense of the environment and how its continued neglect affects the future of the planet and the health of future generations. He will call upon all people to actively make a difference in our world. From green jobs and technologies to weaning our reliance on carbon energy, Kennedy offers a bold vision to restore U.S. economic might, safeguard our environment, and re-establish America’s role as an exemplary nation.

Prior to his evening lecture, at 3:30 p.m., Kennedy will participate in a facilitated discussion with students. Media is welcome to attend both the Q&A and the lecture.

This lecture is part of Loyola’s Only One Earth initiative, focusing on environmental responsibility with the goal of making the community more aware, responsible, and action oriented. It is a lifelong campaign that will serve as a home for sustainability events and activities that happen on our campuses. For more information, please visit LUC.edu/onlyoneearth.
