Department of Fine and Performing Arts Presents the One Woman Show We’ve Got a Badge for That
Loyola’s Kelli Strickland Takes Audiences Through Her Journey in Girl Scouts and More
The Loyola University Chicago Department of Fine and Performing Arts (DFPA) presents the one woman show We’ve Got A Badge for That. The Girl Scouts can be an excellent vehicle for life experiences, but the lessons it holds are hardly limited to wilderness training and cookie sales. In her new one-woman show, which premiered at this past summer’s Fillet of Solo festival, Kelli Strickland explores her own adventures with the Girl Scouts, including near-death experiences, puppy love, pyromania, and peach schnapps.
Strickland most recently appeared in Raven Theatre’s The Cherry Orchard, and she starred in the feature film Hannah Free, playing young Hannah. Strickland is a theatre instructor in Loyola’s DFPA and is the director of education and outreach of Raven’s Take Flight program, serving Chicago Public Schools.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Box Office at 773.508.3847 or BoxOffice@LUC.edu.
