Loyola University Chicago Alumni Network Hosts
Hate Crime Awareness Panel
“Civil Unions: Where Do We Go from Here?”

What:
Loyola University Chicago’s LGBTQ Alumni Network will host the panel discussion, “Civil Unions: Where Do We Go From Here?,” on Wednesday, April 20 in honor of Hate Crime Awareness Month. The event will feature a discussion with Congressman Mike Quigley, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, and Alderman Tom Tunney of the 44th Ward regarding the repealing of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and the fact that the Department of Justice will no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session. The event is free of charge and light refreshments will be served.
