Father Michael Pfleger and Author Robert Mcloy
Will Discuss Faith & Racism in Chicago: The Fight for Social Justice
What:
Loyola University Chicago’s Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS), in collaboration with the Seminary Consortium on Urban Pastoral Education (SCUPE), will host Father Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina Church in Chicago, and award-winning author, journalist, and long-time professor at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University Robert McClory at Kasbeer Hall in the Corboy Law Center on March 23.
The duo will discuss faith and racism within Chicago and the fight for social change. After the presentation, McClory will hold a book signing for his most recent work, a biography of Father Pfleger, Radical Disciple: Father Pfleger, St. Sabina Church and the Fight for Social Justice. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
The event is free and open to the public.
