Loyola University Chicago Presents Little Women: The Musical
Loyola University Chicago’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts presents its main stage production of Little Women: The Musical by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and direction by Sarah Gabel.
In this Tony-award-winning musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s timeless novel, the battles on the home front take center stage. While father is away serving as a chaplain in the Union Army during the Civil War, the March sisters come of age, fall in love, lean on each other, and learn life lessons with the guidance of Marmee, a role originated by songstress Maureen McGovern.
