Student Environment Leaders Meet with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky on Climate Change
Loyola University Chicago students who are passionate about the nation’s sustainability efforts will bring together 15 local student environmental leaders to meet with U.S Representative Jan Schakowsky and voice their concerns on global climate change and the future of energy in the United States. Among their list of requests, students plan to ask the congresswoman for her support of capping carbon emissions, bringing the era of dirty fossil fuels to an end, and transitioning the country to a clean, renewable energy future built upon a green job economy.
This meeting is taking place in conjunction with more than 350 student-organized meetings in congressional districts nationwide throughout the month of April. For more information on the national movement, visit www.energyactioncoalition.org.
