Best-Selling Author Doris Kearns Goodwin Available for Interviews at Loyola University Chicago
What:
Loyola University Chicago invites you to sit down with award-winning and best-selling author Doris Kearns Goodwin, prior to her 7 p.m. lecture on Wednesday night commemorating Loyola’s “Bicentennial Celebration: Loyola, Lincoln, and Leadership” series. Ms. Goodwin will be available to media for 30 minutes to discuss her book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, and answer questions.
Joining Ms. Goodwin will be Loyola business ethics professor Al Gini, lead manager and innovator of the University’s Lincoln Bicentennial celebration and an expert on Lincoln’s history.

Why:
The year 2009 is the bicentennial anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. In honor of “Illinois’ own,” Loyola University Chicago is offering a number of classes, events, and presentations as part of its “Bicentennial Celebration: Loyola, Lincoln, and Leadership” series. Ms. Goodwin’s lecture will serve as the centerpiece of the celebration, which will educate students, the surrounding community, and the larger public about the impact of Lincoln on America today.
